During installation of the software, do you get a prompt with a white background that asks you to install a driver? (You should not get the prompt. For installation, did you right click on the installer and choose to Run as Administrator?ĥ. Do you have any other LED control software installed?Ĥ. Is the Windows account the same one that you installed the software under?ģ. Can I get some help as to why? Makes me want to either completely remove the software or revert back 2 updates and neither are that ideal. It would help us if you could let us know:ġ. I updated Trident Z lighting control to v1.00.18 and I still get the UAC prompt every time I boot up (although notes says it was supposedly fixed this update). Would you mind letting us know which other RGB controlling software (and the version number of that software) that are installed on your system? (Which is why software installations recommend closing other programs during installation.) At the same time, if the other RGB controlling software is supposed to be capable of controlling the Trident Z series memory modules, then it should not be able to without the proper version of the LED driver. You present an interesting method of installation, which does make some sense, since keeping the software running would mean that the drivers are in use, so the drivers would not be replaced by another software installation. Chances are, installing other RGB controlling software may have also installed the same RGB LED driver, but a different version, causing the Trident Z Lighting Control software to fail to work properly. ![]() And the only way I was able to get it to work was install it first and keep it running in the background while installing everything else. You've also mentioned "Then I installed everything else, all system drivers, and other RGB controlling software". It was doing the same thing with all versions. Not sure if Windows reinstallation of your step 5 is a clean uninstall or a Windows 10 "reset", but run the batch file steps above just to make sure that any existing memory LED drivers have been removed. Please try this and let us know if you run into further issues after following the above steps. It sounds like the latest version of Asus Aura doesn't use the same LED driver version, so it's recommended to just choose one or the other for memory LED control. After that, reinstall TZLC, which should properly install the correct working version of LED driver. The batch file will remove the LED drivers installed by Aura Sync that isn't fully removed during its uninstallation. Motherboard - Asus crosshair 6 extreme, Bios version 7704 I am at my wit's end and i dont know what to do from here. This is same for the latest version (v1.00.17) I am running the latest bios for my motherboard, Windows, as well as the latest version of both Aura sync and Trident Z Light Control (v1.00.17)ġ) Remove Aura sync and install just Trident Z Light Control ->Still failed to detect my ramĢ) Re-Install Trident Z Light Control (v1.00.17) ->Still failed to detect my ramģ) Install the older version (v1.00.08) ->Still failed to detect my ramĤ) Reinstall latest bios for my motherboard ->Still failed to detect my ramĥ) Reinstall windows ->Still failed to detect my ramĪs illustrated in the image bellow, clicking on the "Dram" button doesnt show me my individual set of ram sticks neither does applying any of the lighting effects changes my ram color or effects. Here is the problem, Aura sync can detect and control the ram leds, but the Trident Z Light Control failed to detect my ram. After installing Aura Sync i installed Trident Z Light Control. I am experiencing problems getting this Trident Z Light Control to work.
